The fourteenth week check-in.

  • What went well this week?

    • My day of rest on Monday, Jan. 13, was so necessary. I was so sick on Sunday. I was scared to try to fly from NYC to South Carolina. I slept in until 3:30pm on Monday and that was really good. Then I was able to bounce back pretty well starting on Tuesday. I am glad that I put some pressure on Xavier in my email on Thursday, Jan. 9th, and he and I were able to chat on Tuesday, Jan. 14th. We were able to talk about some of the concepts for the app and a little about the process for us working together. My meeting with Maw and Catherine at Edward Jones on Thursday, Jan. 16th, went well. Making that "do not contact" letter to send to Maw's junk mail people went well this week.

  •  What didn’t go well this week?

    • In our meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 14th, Xavier told me that he'd have me a time estimate sheet by the end of the day on Thursday, Jan. 16th, but that didn't happen so I'm bummed about that. I am thinking about how I need to approach that conflict. I want it to be more clear and I don't want to build resentment over time with things like this. I did have to cancel my meeting with Savannah on Tuesday, Jan 14th, and I didn't like that.

  • What are you grateful for?

    • I am very grateful to have been able to bounce back from my illness. I am grateful that I did not give any of the illness to Maw. I am grateful for the financial gift that Maw gave me at Catherine's on Thursday, Jan. 16th. I am grateful for the time that I had to myself when Maw was at cards on Friday, Jan. 17th. I am very grateful that I got back into the gym this past week and that I have been pushing myself to eat better. I am grateful that TikTok came back today, Sunday, Jan. 19th. I am grateful that I FaceTimed Ethan and Stanley with the new baby today, Sunday, Jan. 19th.

  • What are your focus projects?

    • My focus projects this week are: Maw and the app - pushing forward with Xavier and coding myself. I also want to continue to think about how I can "show my work." The TikTok thing this week was interesting. I was sad that it went away for a day and then very glad when it came back. I don't want to take that for granted. I want to keep making content.
